Pocket Reference

Can anyone suggest a good commercal pocket referance for critical care? I am a former ICU nurse returning to Critical Care. I have been working in a prison mental health unit for 5 years.

I was used to being the high functioning, "super" ICU nurse, now I'm "rusty". I recently took a critical care course. I'm doing lots of reading. I need a good pocket "brain". I am making cards with formulas, drip dosages, lab refernce lists, but there must be a commercial product already available with thus information. i know relearning everything will take time and patience, but I'm working now.

If your're still looking- I have Emergency and Critical Care pocket guide by Derr and Tardiff as well as ICU/CCU Facts Incredibly Quick pocket guide by springhouse. Both are pretty good but the first one seems a little more comprehensive. Also the nice thing is you can write on these adn wipe off with alcohol.

I probably own about 100 of these so called fast facts kinds of books. I am so anal...lol

Anyway, my biggest problem with each adn every one of them is that only about 30 pages of each book is really pertinent to what I need and i wind up perpetually buying book after book.

I am starting to think that creating my own from bits and pieces of each book is the best route...but i still keeping looking for that PERFECT text

I like the Kathy White book but the pages are like tissue paper and the print is microscopic
