what does D5NR mean.. we were doing a ward class on IV solutions and im having a hard time with D5NR..thanks..

D5 is 5% Dextrose

N ??

R is Ringer's solution

NS is Normal Saline (0.9% Sodium chloride solution) I'm not familiar with the N so hopefully someone is....
