I am sophomore BSN student with a BA in Business Management. I have taken a few IT classes. I'm not sure whether to add a IT minor. I will be 52 when I graduate and I although I feel physically fit now, I know that my years of 12hr floor shifts may be limited.
Any advise?
Thanks

An IT minor would be useful if you see yourself going into informatics. Can you get a minor in informatics? My minor was in health science. I anticipated using it for teaching or public health. Our instructors told us though that one pretty much needs a MPH in order to be able to use their degree in public health. I also have a background in IT and would consider informatics as an avenue when I am older and more tired.
My school does not have an informatics program nor does any college in my state. I have considered adding the minor through another college out of state but don't know if that is possible. Our dept chair discourages "minors" and when students do take them, the more traditional minors are psych or nutrition.
