A client return from the operating room after the extensive abdominal surgery he has 1000ml of lactaid ringer solution infusing via a antral venous cather.The physician order IV fluid to be in fused at 125 ml/hr plus the total out put of 15 gtt ml and out put for the pervous hour 75ml via foley 50 ml via nasogastric tube and approximately 10ml via jack Pratt tube which following IV flow rates is needed to deliver the correct amount of fluid..

answer is 65ml .... Please can anyone help me set up the calculation to reach the answer what is.. Thanks..:crying2:

One question what is 15 gtt ml? did u mean 15gtt/min or hr. Because I have never seen 15 gtt ml

125+75+50+10 is the volume=260

ml * drops/ 60

260*15/60=65ml
