Hey sounds like you've been busy.

If it's experience you wish in PICC's there are jobs open for PICC/IV therapy team in maryland at Good samaritan hospital. check it out. Good luck:idea:

We have opening @ St Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN, if you are still looking for PICC job. We will train :nurse:. Average 115 PICC per month.

You can go to the Infusion Nurses Society site and look for PICC and IV jobs. They also have bi annual classes in PICC insertion training in areas across the country twice a year. Also look at Larger trauma centers for positions on IV teams or in Interventional Radiology for PICC placements. Hope this helps.

PS... I love the INS site...

Well, folks... for some reason my notifications are not coming in and I don't know when people reply, sorry!

Thanks for all the help and info, but I'm not really looking to move or take a hospital job. I figure $200 profit per picc beats $25/hr any day, if you know what I mean.

I even had one nurse from Texas tell me she only got $110 per PICC and averaged about $10,000 per month income. I could live with that...

I'm just weighing options for getting rich slowly, and really appreciate the assistance!

thanks,

Since you've completed class and looking for supervised practice site

a. Contact local hospitals in your area re IV/PICC teams and ask for internship.

b. Contact local homecare IV infusion companies ---might be your best bet.

c. Search Infusion Nurses Society site.

OK, I've found most of what I need, and let's just say it's not cheap, but affordable for the return.

Thanks for all the assistance,

One thing to remember is that infusion nursing can be feast or famine in the outpatient setting.

I've had day's with patient visits scheduled from 8AM to 10PM, othertimes only 1-2 PICCS per week. Pateints are so grateful for the service. Along with insertion there is weekly PICC maintenance visit for dressing change too in homecare setting.
