So, the whole time I have been in school, we have been geared up to work in the hospital setting. Never do I hear anything about nursing in a physician's office. Maybe an ignorant question, but do RNs not work in offices?

Very rarely do I see RN's in offices....you see LPN's, CMT's, CMA's, etc. There used to be RN's in offices long ago, but now they can hire cheaper labor.....sad, but true....a friend of mine works for a derm. practice---she had 3 mo. of training as a Med. Assist. she does it all, blood draws, the whole nine yards (for a lot less $ than an RN would get)

I know many RNs who work in Doc's offices....USually what I have seem it to be are Retired RNs. Becuase they get the luxury (depending where and who u work for) of getting weekends & holidays off. But I heard it depends on the doc with the amt of $ you get.

That is true, there are many RNs who work in docs offices; that I know at least!
maybe it depends on what area you are in....here in the South there are no RN's in doc's offices that I have seen.....highest rank I have seen is LPN.....
