Phlebotomy tubes

Hello everyone. My current hospital is having a problem with expiring phlebotomy tubes because they are in patient rooms in the drawers. When they are restocked, the new tubes go on top and the old ones expire at the bottom. I want to hear where other Emergency rooms keep their phlebotomy tubes and how to keep them from expiring. Thanks!

Don't keep them in the rooms.

Put them in one central area (or 2-3 areas) and put the newer ones behind the old ones.

We tend to run out of tubes so don't really have this problem.

We stock them on our IV start trays. That way they are used and only replaced when all the tubes in the tray are gone. It works pretty well!
