I need your opinion guys!
I have the option of not taking pharm along with my nsg core this summer because I took it during LPN school but that was 18 years ago.
Granted, I have been nursing for a long time and know most of my drugs( at least the common ones)
Is this Pharm class like the one in LPN classes?
How easy/hard is it????
Would appreciate any replys ASAP.
Thanks oodles!

I have no idea what Pharm was like in your LPN program. I finish Pharm tomorrow at Blmng and ours includes LPN's and RN's. It was my easiest class this semester! Having been an LPN and been passing meds for years it should be a piece of cake for you. I think I've done well because I soaked up all the med info I could when I worked in the ER.
Can't wait to join you this fall!

Thanks Ashlea!
I dropped the Pharm and kept the Chem for the summer plus the nursing core.. So 8 credit hours is much more manageable than 11!
Since I work part time in a pharmacy now, I have my own personal med guru for questions.
I have passed meds for about 15 out of 18 years........just got the jitters of starting school, huge load etc.
Thanks for your input!
I am SO ready for this journey to begin. Its been such a long time in the planning/wishing stage that its hard to believe it will all come full circle in 2 weeks.
See ya in the fall!

I had the same option, so I chose NOT to take the pharm class and do not feel I missed anything, nor was I lacking in the program. I passed all my classes with A's and one B (that B is a long story...let me just say I HATE group projects. Don't ever trust someone who tells you it's all under control)
Only one person in my transisiton program took the pharm class. I would say since you are working in a pharmacy and have a good med background you will be fine without it.
Good Luck!!
