Petitioned classes

I'm aiming to apply for National University's ABSN program. My pre-reqs are a bit complicated and I have to petition some classes to be considered. I have my BS in Kinesiology, and took A&P. For lab I took anatomy, but not a physio lab. I did, however, take an exercise physiology lab and I'm trying to petition that class to count as a regular physio lab. Also trying to petition measurement in Kinesiology for Biomed stats. I'm afraid it won't pass, does anyone have experience with petitioning classes?

Thanks!

I've petitioned 2 classes, had to appeal initial decision on both, and ultimately both were approved. But in CA anyway, you have to take a full Physiology class with lab, nothing else is acceptable per the BON. Might want to just look at the requirements. In CA we also have a website called ASSESS.org which shows what classes correspond to what, what I as transferrable, etc. Don't know where you're from, but might want to check into that with a counselor.

Thanks for sharing. I'm also from CA, and already met with the advisor for this program. He said that I should petition and see, I'm just a little apprehensive because I know how strict CA is :/ I'm thinking of retaking Physio just in case!

In CA, I can't imagine you getting away with it. BON sets those requirements. Good luck to you!
