Personal Statement

I just wrote a "statement of purpose" for my DNP application. Not as easy as it sounds, took me about 6 weeks. It might be easier to just start with your experiences. talk about how/why you became a nurse. Why do you want to do nursing admin as opposed to say NP? Did they give you a guide as to what to include. What type of units have you worked on? You have probably had good & bad & so, so nursing managers, directors etc. What type of facility do you hope to work in?

I actually have the content ready but the instructor said it had to be in APA format and I was wondering if it was like a scholarly paper with a running head and subjects. I'm already in an MSN program this is just an assignment.

I would defer to your instructor as far as running head etc.
