I am currently a traveler in CA, but life circumstances (husband's job and elderly parents) may guide us back to the east coast. I am hoping someone can answer a question for me...what is the benefit (or not) of working with a staffing company vs working for a specific hospital as a relief rn? I do not want to take a travel assignment-as I will be going from NC (parents) to FL (husband), dependant on my parents' needs-so I need to have the option of a flexible schedule. Thanks so much........

The pay comes out to about the same in most areas. But you would have to check out the specifics for where you are wishing to go and see their requirements for the per diems specifically. Some do have requirements of about four shifts per month as well as a major and minor holiday that needs to be worked.
If you want the most freedom, then the best would per per diem agency, then you can truly be flexible and work only when you need to or want to.
