Penn state nursing

Hi everyone!! I'm looking into getting my RN at PSU-Altoona campus. Has anyone been through the program?? I don't have any gen eds but I am a LPN. Is it hard?? Would it be impossible to work and go to school?? I was considering commuting as I live between philipsburg as clearfield but now I'm probably just going to find a room to save time and gas. Any thoughts or opinions are much apreciated!! Looking to start fall 2015 if I get in!!

I don't know specifically about Penn State's nursing program, but I've heard it's much more feasible to work while in an LPN-RN transition program as opposed to your regular RN program. Congratulations on your acceptance!

I'm from Altoona originally, it's a good program. Penn State is a great place to get your education from. Is Altoona closer to you than State College. I noticed you said you were close to Phillipsburg?

I haven't been accepted yet just trying to get some idea of what I might be getting myself into!! I think I stand a good chance though!

I am closer to clearfield but graduated from P-O... I know it doesn't make sense but that's how it was lol. They are both about the same distance.
