I am a new grad and have been interviewing for a job on a telemetry floor at a hospital. I had my first interview with the HR department and then was asked back to interview with the nurse manager. It went very well and now tomorrow is my third interview which is a peer interview. I have no idea what they will ask me. I really want this Job so I was wondering if anyone has been through this and could give me a heads up as to what they might ask and what they are looking for. Thanks so much!

The type of questions really depends upon what interviewing structure the organization uses. If they are a proponent of behavioral interiewing, they will ask you "what if" questions designed to elicit information about your normal behavioral patterns. For instance, they may ask something like "tell me about a time when you noticed someone performing a procedure incorrectly" or "tell me about a time when you had to deal with a very rude patient or family member". They would want to know exactly what you actually did, not what you think you should do. They will be asking the same general questions to each candidate that is interviewed, so that everyone can be ranked using the same criteria.
Take a deep breath. If you can't think of an answer right away, just ask for some time... "hmm, let me think about that for a minute"... rather than babbling away to fill the air with conversation. You want to come across as honest, humble, articulate and thoughful. Don't offer any personal information or veer off into inappropriate areas such as your religious or political views (you'd be surprised how many time this happens when candidates are trying to 'impress' - LOL)
Be prepared with a list of questions about the organization if you are provided with an opportunity to ask them some questions (usually at the end of the interview). You could ask about scheduling patterns, opportunities for continuing education, cafeteria hours. . . anything about the work environment would be appropriate.
Wow! Thank you so much for the awesome advice! I really really appreciate you taking the time to respond to my question...very helpful! Interview is in 2 hours. I fell prepared!
