PAX Exam

I took the Pax entrance exam at the scholl Im currently attending in an RN-ASN program and yes it is very similar to an ACT. In fact, I thought it was a scaled down ACT test.....(I did better on the Pax then on the ACT I took in 11th grade 6 years earlier) Good Luck:p

Hi, I too have applied for nursing at CACC, and I'm already getting sick thinking about the PAX exam. I have been out of school for six years now and forgotten almost everything I learned...OH NO! The worst thing is the math. Maybe we can work together and make though....Email me and we will talk. Hi there. You are applying to the school I graduated from too many moons ago to count. Actually my RN classes were in the building adjacent to the hospital in Sylacauga. If memory serves me (keeping in mind Im getting old) the entrance exam was ALOT like an ACT. An ACT review book may help you get ready for the exam.... just a thought..... good luck to you all!

hey guys... i'm in the process of applying to the nursing program at central alabama cc. they require the pax exam as an entrance exam. i'm using a few general nursing entrance exam study books to review. i've had some people say that this is hard and some say that i'll do fine. a lot of people have compared it to the act. can anyone give me an idea of what to expect? thank you so much!!

dixienurse, i am going to be studying for the pax soon as well. there several study guides out there w/ practice tests. check out amazon.com or a local bookstore chain like b&n or bam! in the referrence section. it's been a while since i took my act but i did very well on it, so hopefully some reviewing will put me where i need/want to be...good luck!
