It's juggling time and we are picking up more patients this semester. Anyone have any scheduling tips on how to make sure both patients needs are met, meds are on time, charting is done on time, and the biggest of all reporting off two different RN's and delegating to possibly two CNA's? They tell us if we can't effectively juggle two this semester no way we can juggle 5 when we hit preceptorship. Which I can definitely understand that so any helpful tips are appreciated.
Thanks!

It helps to have a good worksheet with time columns so you can note little reminders of when and what you need to do. It helps to be flexible, and not try and stick to some rigid schedule, but rather, to use the worksheet as a guide. Also, triage your care, meaning, make sure you prioritize the most essential tasks and work in the less essential things as you go.
Thanks again!
