Patho 1 twice...

Hi everyone,

So I just joined but need some pointers please. I dont know what happened but I've taken patho 1 twice and still cant pass with a passing grade ... I can only take it once more and I've decided that this fall is the semester I am going to do it. Can y'all give me some pointers on maybe somethings that helped you pass? Ive done reading the chapter before class, and after class re reading it and re writing my notes, and I've done flash cards for each term and what not.

Thanks!!!

First I wish you good luck! I think you should try YouTube, it is very helpful! Second is it the same teacher? Maybe they are not teaching you in a way you can understand. What part are you having trouble with? Do you have to take it at your school? My school only offers it online it was hard at first. But really try YouTube it has helped me with several classes.

Hi. I'm taking Patho I at the moment; first two tests so far have been A's.

What my teacher did was introduce inflammation and immunity first. Now we're on genetics, cancer, and fluids & electrolytes. Those inflammation concepts come back over and over because it's one way our bodies respond to injury.

Try not to "memorize" the material and try to actually learn it. I've noticed over my year or so in college that the memorizers tend to be the people always going "I don't get it," regardless of how much the instructor tries to explain it. Learn the big picture and understand the smaller details later.

Best of luck :) You can do it
