Passed NCLEX First Time

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello all! I'm very excited to start my new career as a registered nurse, as I have passed my NCLEX-RN on the first try with 75 questions.

I first began as a CNA in 2011, LPN in 2015, and now RN in 2017. For my LPN I finished my NCLEX with 85 questions on the first try.

Our school paid for a HESI review course in order to prepare us for NCLEX, but honestly it was terrible! The information on the slide shows were different than our study packet we were given, and the instructor could not give us a straight answer. I was so confused by the refresher course that I put my headphones on to some classical and began to read my Saunders NCLEX review book. This book is amazing! I did read in depth up until about page 750 (out of 1000 or so..), then the rest I just read the red key points and would answer a few questions at the end of the chapter. I found out that there was an online test website access code only a few days before my test was scheduled. I kept taking the tests and scored terrible. I feel that the material on the actual NCLEX was easier than the Saunders questions.

I did not pay for any other programs, test banks, etc. I feel that everything on my exam was in the Saunders book I read! I'm so thankful that I found something cheap (compared to those review courses) and that worked.

I hope I can help a fellow nursing graduate with passing, or giving a little confidence. Thanks!

Thank you so much and Congratulation on your success. I also have confidence that after reading the Saunders nclex rn i will pass my nclex rn exam. I appreciate the way you honestly told us how Saunders book helped you to excel. All the best in you carrier as an RN.

Thank you! I did enjoy the book very much. Best of wishes to you!
