Passed First Semester! :)

The nonstop studying is over!!! Well for now. I got out with two B's.(Fund and Anatomy). I also got a scholarship that is only awarded to students that make it to next semester.

In that semester (Jan-May) we start Med-surg/Pharm/IV. Last(Jun/July) is Nursing Transition and Maternal Child. Then boards. Ugh I am not looking forward to that.

I have a problem though. My goal was to take this three and a half week break to rest my brain, and thus quell my desire to burn my nursing books(only half joking). However, since I now know the serious amount of studying that has to be done to even stay afloat in the program I was thinking about going on ahead and buying the Med-sug book for next semester, and start studying. Problem is I really, realllllllly don't want to lol. However, our professor and even some of her old students from last year told us Med-surg is a nightmare. So what do you all think I should do? Is med-surg really that horrible that I should ignore my break and hit the books? Or should I just wait for next year to start, and just do the best I can as the semester goes on like I did for this one?

This is the book. We have to get the study-guide with it like we did for this semester's books. Those guides helped. Especially the one for Anatomy. http://www.amazon.com/Understanding-Medical-Surgical-Nursing-4th/dp/0803622198/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1355266209&sr=1-1&keywords=understanding+medical+nursing+nursing
