part time program?

Hello

Has anyone done the part time program? I'm 42 and work full time, I need health insurance (and income) for my family. I am on the last step of being accepted into an LPN program. It has taken me almost a year to get this far. I'm worried about being able to do it while working full time. I have an accounting degree and am now working in the accounting field. The school thinks it would be fine, but what do you all think. I'm so nervous. If I do get accepted, the part time classes don't start for 11 months, full time start in August, both fill up fast so I need to decide soon. I really want this, but it is such a change, most of the other students looking at the part time program are working full time, but in the medical field. I'm hoping I can succeed in this. Thanks for listening

I've been going part time for the last two years working on co-reqs. It's been going well. Now that i'm in the nursing program, I'm still only going part time because I knocked out all the general arts & sciences. If I can do it, so can you. good luck!

you guys are so lucky that you part-time programs! Here in Hawaii they don't offer them in the community college. :o

i think you can do it sunshine44!!!

I'll be doing the part-time LPN program beginning Jan 07. It'll take a year and a half then another year and a half for part-time RN but I'm like you, I have to work. I have my prereqs done for my RN so I'm just waiting!!
