Part-time classes at TCC

Published

Hi guys,

I need someone to give me information on how the part time (RN) program works at TCC. I am almost done with my RN pre-reqs, I have been admitted to start LPN program in another college but I have deep childcare issues. Could someone please give me the run down on how the part-time program works; the number of days and hours spent in both class and clinicals, do students have an option of choosing what hours work with them in terms of clinicals. The nursing dept is very stingy on giving you some info so we have to rely on each other to get information.

Kindly appreciate your time and piece of mind.

FYI, you may get a few more responses if you spelled out the name of the college you are speaking of. I'm sure there's a dozen (or more) TCC's across the country with nursing programs. Good luck in your studies.

Hi guys,

I need someone to give me information on how the part time (RN) program works at Tacoma community college. I have tried to get as much of information that I could from the nursing department but they are not very willing to say alot, it's very frustrating. I am almost done with my RN pre-reqs have one class left. I have been accepted to start LPN program at another college but I have deep childcare issues.

Could someone please give me the run down on how the part-time program works at Tacoma Community; the number of days and hours spent in both class and clinicals, do students have an option of choosing what hours work for them in terms of clinicals, example, they have 7-3 and 3-11 do they give students an option of choosing what hours works for them. Like I said before the nursing dept is very stingy on giving you info so we have to rely on each other to get vital information. Heeellllp.

Kindly appreciate your time and piece of mind.

Tacoma, as in Washington? Try posting in the Washington Regional forum or Washington nursing schools. (Region > United States and find your state). You have the potential to be more successful in gaining a response in a regional forum, however your questions are rather specific and particular so you may not get the volume of responses that you desire.

Hi there,

Am a mother of 2 kids and have been accepted into an Lpn program this fall, unfortunately the hours are so conflicting with my chilcare hours big time. I have an A&P 2 class left and be done with all my RN pre-reqs. I heard that Tacoma community college has a part time program that I feel will work great with my schedule.

Would anyone out there give me more information about this program, how many days and hours are spent in class and clinicals, where are the clinical sites and hours spent there. Kindly give me as much info as possible because as you all know the department is very stingy on giving info.

Thanks for your input and time.
