overwhelmed

i would like input as to how to prioritize my activites as it seems i have been having to stay 1 to 2 hours past my shift, work in a nursing home in what they call fast track rehab and i feel like i am missing something or is this a normal feeling how do others deal with the paperwork , my medication pass is okay but it is the paperwork i work 16 hr shifts sat and sun any input would be helpful:bugeyes:

I know this sounds silly, but try not to sit around and chit chat with other nurses, just focus on your work. I see that a lot, and they always have to stay over and do paperwork.

TRY, and i do say try....to treat it in four hour blocks....try to do the paper work "as you go"....and remember that nursing is a 24 hour job.....
