OR to OB?

Specialties Ob/Gyn

I have always wanted to work in OB but unfortunately where I live the positions are very had to get unless you have some kind of connection. I have been working in the OR as a circulator for about a year and I am wondering If anyone has any tips for getting into OB.

I don't have any tips but I left the OR to go to OB and the nurses I work with are mostly downright mean. I feel like I'm in 3rd grade when I'm over 30 years old. Running behind my back to managers, etc. so freaking immature. Like please grow up. Im strongly considering going back to the or and my boss would welcome me back with open arms. I love the work, just not the people. At all. It makes your life miserable. I cry and I'm not a crier. L&D has Always been my dream and where my heart is and these bitter and unhappy nurses are ruining it for me. One of the doctors wants me to help him with a project and they told me I'm not allowed until I'm there for 6 months. Its like they want to see you fail and God forbid someone likes you, they hate and talk about you even more. Misery loves company and I refuse to let theses miserable *^%#+>% ruin me. Sorry for the rant but I guess I need some advice too. But I wish you luck. It took alot of phone calls and hounding the nurse recruiter and hr to get where I am now.
