Online Prereqs

I need an online general chemistry, online chemistry with lab, and an online statistics class. All of these need to be transferable. My local university requires a college algebra class before enrolling in any of these other classes.

Thanks,

I'm currently taking pre-reqs through Kansas City Community College and they offer most, if not all of the sciences online, with labs. I'm sure they have stats and Algebra as well.

Thanks, I'll look it up.

You both should be VERY cautious about online science courses with lab components: NOT all colleges will accept credits from these courses, in fact many do not.

Online courses offered through the college you plan to attend for nursing is typically not a problem, as it is THEIR online course. But to transfer those credits to another college oftentimes means having it denied....and it was a waste of money, time, and effort.

Check with the nursing programs you hope to attend, and see if the online options you chose are ok by them.

Better safe than sorry!

I absolutely agree. Everyone needs to do their due diligence and check that the program they are applying to accepts all of their pre-reqs, online or not.
