Nov 15, 201114 yr I am taking my anatomy classes through North Central Texas College. It is not too expensive, even out of district, but the book/access codes were (but can be used for both A&P I and II, so the cost is spread out). The class itself has been tough, partially because that's just the nature of the class content and partially because you are really on your own with a lot of the material. The professor is available via email for questions and posts notes online, but it is definitely more isolated than I had hoped. Part of me wishes I had taken an in person class, but my work and home commitments do not allow me to do so at this time.
Nov 15, 201114 yr what about the lab portion? How is that completed? Or is it only the lecture portion?
Nov 15, 201114 yr Experts UNE offers an online anatomy course that has a lab component done online with a virtual program: http://www.une.edu/com/online
Nov 15, 201114 yr The lab is online as well. The textbook and access code package also come with a software CD (sorry for not mentioning this above, long day) that is a virtual cadaver dissection. It also has a lot of instructional videos and extra things besides the dissection features that can supplement studying. Definitely not the same as participating in an in-person lab (because one is not able to actually manipulate body parts/organs/etc.), but I was impressed by the amount of detail the software provides.
Nov 15, 201114 yr oh ok, Does anyone know if the course is at an accredited school? Would nursing programs accept this credit?
Nov 16, 201114 yr Ladydeeb, if you are asking about the class I have been talking about, then yes it is at an accredited school. NCTC is a community college near where I live that has their own ADN program and whose classes transfer to most, if not all, of the public 4-year universities in Texas.
i live in Texas and need to take a fully online anatomy class can anyone help
