Hi I'm shopping around for schools to get my bsn and came across National University, the guy on the phone didn't give specifics but in interested in the Los Angeles campus. Does any one know what the tuition bill is for the bsn generic entry program?

I do not know the cost, but it is a private school. Normally, when you inquire about a school, you will talk to an intake person. Eventually, you will be contacted or visited by the person who is the real salesperson. He/she will present the program with all the bells and whistles. This is the time that they will discuss the price of the school. They will also pressure you to make a decision right then and there and sign on the bottom line. Don't. Take the paperwork, read it and then really think it over. If the person pressures you to sign then and there, consider walking away. A private school costs $'s; don't sign until you know if the program is for you and you have thought it over away from the sales person.

If you are going the private school program the CA BRN has a list of approved schools, both private and public.

The NU program is in San Diego. There is an LVN BSN program in Los Angeles--Oklahoma State (their program is about $34k). They will have you come in and sit down with a counselor who wil go over your transcripts.

Cal State U at Los Angeles is a state program and is far less..about $1300 a quarter. There is no sales person but you would need to have your transcripts evaluated. Do not know if they have an LVN to BSN program; they do have a generic program and an excelerated bachelors non nursing to master in nursing program.

Western (something or other..forget the name) is charging their LVN to BSN students $130,000....

Indiana State Univ is a LVN BRN distant learning program approved by the CA BRN. If you have your bachelors, it will cost $19K+/-. If you do not have a bachelors, you will have to take prerequisite classes (which I suggest you do at a community college).

Best to you. :redpinkhe
