Hello, everyone.
Is it possible for an RN on an F-1 student undertaking a Masters Degree in Nursing Education to apply for Adjustment of Status to a work Visa? I graduated with a BSN from the USF College of Nursing in Florida, and am presently registered with the Florida Board of Nursing. So far, all of the hospitals I have applied to have informed me that they are not sponsoring non-US-born nurses at the moment.
If I apply for an internship under either CPT or OPT, will that count towards the experience required by many employers, and will I have better chances of eventually getting employed in Florida (or anywhere else in the US, for that matter)?
Is internship going to require a work permit, or is it considered to be part of CPT/OPT (requiring only an F-1)?
