patient history: S/P OHS
diagnosis: r/o pnuemonia
Okay, so, I know S/P stands for "no change after," but what the heck does OHS mean?
This is for a 1st semester med administration assignment...

S/P actually stands for "status post"...so the patient is status post OHS. Not sure what OHS is though. What unit was the patient on?

Open heart surgery?
AHHH soo many new abbreviations to learn. I swear I have a new list to learn and s/p stands for that one. haha.
Open heart surgery sounds really good, but I forgot to mention that the pat is only a 21 year old female.
The meds she's on are: Erythromycin, Robitussin AC, Aspirin, and furosemide...
Wait a sec....... do you think the aspirin is to thin the blood for post-op heart surgery?
500mg erythromycin; no dose w/ robitussin ac;325mg acetylsalicylic acid; 20mg furosemide
