Ohio help?!

Published

Okay everyone. I am having nothing short of a mental breakdown.

I graduated from a BSN program on May 11. I had sent all of my stuff in the week prior to graduation.

It is now 8 weeks later. I have no ATT still and the position that my manager was holding for me, is no longer able to be held. (They had to fill their staffing hole.)

I spoke to the licensure manager at the OBN last week. She informed me that we were waiting on a hard copy of my FBI report. I had received my own copy 2 weeks prior to this. I explained that and they assured me I would have my ATT yesterday.

Well, conveniently I have no ATT. So I have tried to call all day. All I get are voicemails.....all of which are full.

Any suggestions are recommended.

Thanks a bunch,

The extremely burnt out and sad almost nurse.

Has anyone you graduated with received his or her ATT yet? Applications get processed in batches by school. Everyone in your class will get their ATT on the same day. Additionally have you paid Pearson Vue yet?

Request an official transcript be sent from your school to your bon. This can be done online. This is just a backup plan while you follow up on what is happening.

Background checks with livescan take 24 hours. Follow-up with Company that did it. We are allowed to work as graduate nurses until we pass our nclex. Wondering if this would work for your new job.

The bon is who delivers gives the okay to sit for the exam. When you go to the web site, what do they say is the status of your application. Is it pending anything? Call the BON.

Ohio Board of Nursing is just slow. I graduated on May 3rd, got my ATT on June 21, took the NCLEX on July 5, and my license showed up on yesterday (July 9). I also turned in all my paperwork and did my fingerprints 8 weeks before I graduated. It also took 2 months to get my ATT after I graduated from my LPN school.

Agree. Ohio is the worst. I know of three others who are in the same boat as you. Heard they are extremely understaffed. Sucks for us, but only so much a limited number of people can do. So sorry to hear about all your troubles.
