hi, another question I forgot to ask. I am currently a direct entry midwife and have had a private practice for about one year. We are doing great, very busy, butttttt, I am not an office work type of person and am totally lost when it comes to efficiently operatingthe office, charts, insurance, etc. We haven't been able to hire anyone yet so the other midwife and I try to do it.
Are there any online courses that work you through office practices? setting up your own medical practice? the daily lists, organizational tips, etc. I know these resources must be out there, but Ijust don't know where to find them.
thanks a bunch

Hi Maggi,
I don't know of any website that help NP's in business, but I started a blog on the subject several months ago after the questions I was getting following an article I wrote for Advance on being in business. I hope it's okay to post the link...http://www.npbusiness.org. Like many others, we have been learning as we go, so let's all learn together and make it a bit easier for those that will follow.
Perhaps something there will be helpful.
