I have been offered a position at a fmc facility. After reading some of these threads I am now leary on accepting the position. Is it really that bad? What facilities are best? I don't know what to do.

In general, a facility - any facility, any company - is as good or as bad as its management. Especially in dialysis, you really can't tell if you like it until you try it. Also remember that those of us who complain on a board like this one are the unhappy workers; the happy ones rarely come here to praise their units, companies or managers.
I would say, go for it! Obviously, you were impressed with your manager or you wouldn't have taken the job. If you really find that dialysis isn't for you - and you will know this in a few weeks - then move on. But you may absolutely love it.
Good luck!

I agree with DeLana RN - as with many jobs, management either makes or breaks you.

Agree With All Of The Above----i Work For Davita, And Have Floated To Several Of The Clinics In This Area And They Vary From Each Other , R/t Management. I Love My Fa, But I Will Not Return To Some Of The Other Clinics Due To Multiple Reasons, Even Tho They Are All Davita Units, The Management Of These Clinics Differs Alot---i Feel That If I Had Started In One Particular Clinic I Would Not Have Lasted A Month!!!
