I was interview yesterday by the nurse manager everything went well and I think he was impressed, on the middle of the interview I was asked to meet with the head Dr. of the department , said 'Hi' and 'Hello', his tone of voice is a bit off (not that polite but not rude also) then continued with the NM, at the end of the interview he was discussing the position I'm getting into, oriented me with the area and the benefits of my position told me to think about what I've learned and asked me to call him if I am interested with the position and we can move on to the next level of interview.. I was expecting him to say 'We will call you' or 'How soon can you start'..I find it odd that he was asking me to be the one to call him. But the Doctor said 'We will call you' now I'm confused if I got the job or at least made a good impression or I didn't got it..
Thoughts anyone?

It sounds like they have a multi-step interview process, and in order to save time, they allow the candidate to decide if they are still interested in the position and continuing with the interview process.
So it sounds like you were approved for a second interview- which is great! Take a day, think about the position, and call him back to let him know you'd like to move forward with the position (probably a second interview). Good luck!
Hi Ashley, thank you for your feedback, what you said answered my question regarding the candidate to be the one calling. It does make sense they do it to save time rather than them calling the candidate after a week and finding out she's not interested anymore. I did very good with the Nurse Manager, but the Head Doctor does not seem to be in favor of me, he interviewed me for about a minute which the HR emphasized its the Doctor's typical interview. Hope everything goes well. I got another interview on Monday.

If you want the job, call back.... with questions....preferably well thought out ones.
