i don't know that this site has many nursing interventions for nursing care, but it is a site that was set up to train military corpsmen to be prepared for obstetrical patients. there is a lot of information there. do you have a book of care plans? there are at least two care plan books in publication that specifically address ob patients. i have the one by doenges and moorhouse. pm me or post questions about any specific care for specific ob problems that you need. many of the problems, however, such as hypertension, hemorrhage, pain, etc. still require many of the same general kind of nursing interventions that a medical patient would get.

http://www.brooksidepress.org/products/military_obgyn/procedures/procedures.htm - military obstetrics & gynecology procedures. the main page for this site is here:

http://www.brooksidepress.org/products/military_obgyn/home.htm and includes links to the complete online textbook, laboratory tests commonly ordered in ob/gyn, medications commonly used in ob/gyn, ultrasound and x-ray used in ob/gyn, a large number of useful clinical forms you can download and print, and access to procedure videos that include a lady partsl delivery, episiotomy, circumcision, pelvic exam, pap smear and much more.

I have found a really terrific website with all kinds of information about obstetrics for nursing students. The home page is here:

http://www.childbirths.com/euniversity/mainpage.htm

From it are links to all kinds of information. There is good information on the assessment of the prenatal, laboring and post-partum patient as well as the newborn.
