NYU- Fall 2007 Accelerated Nursing Program

Wow congratulations to you! I applied for the accelerated program also. I haven't received anything yet!

I'm still waiting to hear from them, although the mail hasn't come yet today!

I received my acceptance yesterday...have you heard about financial aid yet? They want a reply by Friday!

I have not heard about financial aid yet! My response needs to be postmarked by Tuesday- crazy! I may send it in and then if I have a change of plans, I may just lose the $300. I haven't made a decision yet between NYU and Marymount and am totally torn! What are your thoughts? Are you going for the 2nd degree program? If so, we may be classmates!

I don't want to send in a deposit without knowing about financial aid...I don't think that it's fair that they want us to make a decision without knowing about financial aid because of how expensive the school is. I already sent in a deposit to Penn because I had hopes that financial aid would come through (it didn't...), so I don't want to lose more money. I also got into Rush University in Chicago, so I'll be going there if NYU is out of reach financially. I'm going to call them tomorrow to see what kind of info I can get out of them...good luck!

Hey gogatsby! It seems like you have great options. I actually sent my deposit in b/c I am still torn between Marymount and NYU. A lot of my decision will be based on whether or not I get Financial Aid. Did you end up talking to anyone?

Congratulations everyone who got into NYU 15 month accelerated, im still waiting for my letter in the mail, the NYU website said that notifications were going to be send out beginning May 15th so I thought I could relax for a bit, but reading this forum showed otherwise, so now im very anxious to find out!

I am also still waiting NYU-Hurry please!

Hey westeastcoast...I called NYU yesterday and they looked up financial aid basedon my student number. They told me that I should receive a letter in the mail either yesterday or today, so hopefully I'll get one today! You might want to try calling them to find out when you should expect to know by.

Ushalfred- ABSN programs are all over - I got into one here in Oklahoma. If you have a degree, than you are almost there. You just need to check prereq.'s and make sure that you have everything. I didn't, so I spent 1 year taking sciences. Depending on where you go, there maybe a grade forgiveness. I am not sure about other programs - but my program is 15 months, we start June 4th and will graduate in July 08.

Also - here in OK, they only start the ABSN once a year - so you will definitely want to find out by inquiring at the schools.
