Hello all, I am due to start full time  nursing school in a few weeks and it is for one year. I have no more funds so I need to work after school, it will have to be part time work,  is it possible?

I think it comes down to your ability to organize time and say no to extra activities. Personally I’ve been able to work the whole time, about 16-24 hours a week, but I have a very understanding employer. It also helps that the pandemic means no gatherings so I don’t have to worry about telling people no to hanging out, haha. If you can get a job as a CNA or unit secretary you may also have time to study on the job which is a plus. If, however, you have a hard time juggling personal life and school as is, it may be worthwhile to get a small student loan. Thankfully nurses are in demand so you can take a loan out with a good amount of confidence that you’ll be able to repay.
