nursing student

I have just completed my first semester on nursing school and need to get some advice. I really don't know if I want to be a nurse now that I've had some insight. I'm working as a tech in a hospital and I hate it. I get depressed just thinking about it. I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this. I watch what the RN's are doing and I really don't think I could do that for 12 hours at a time. I went in thinking I wanted to do Labor and Delivery and now I'm reading the message boards about how you have to do a year on a Med/Surg floor before you can do anything else. Then I read how nurses are so stressed for at least the first few years no matter what they do. Someone please help.... I've put alot into this but I don't want to continue if it's really not for me at all. Does anyone work for an ObGyn or at a Fertility Center. I would really love to hear from you.

Thanks!!!
