Nursing schools

I am a LPN wanting to get my RN. The problem I have is I'm not eligible for financial aid and have no student loans left as an undergrad to go to nursing schools. They are so expensive and I can't afford to pay out of pocket. I am very discouraged because it doesn't look like I'll be able to get my RN. Any suggestions on any options that may be out there. I also heard about places like excelsior but was a little skeptical about that. What are your thoughts?

Do you live near a community college that offers an LPN-to-RN completion program with affordable tuition? If so, can you pay as you go with cash? Can you obtain private loans through sources such as Sallie Mae, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Chase, etc.?
