Nursing School Preparations

This is the season for nursing school acceptances! For those of you who are starting nursing school, what is your to do list before school starts? I just got accepted into a RN program that begins this summer. I am waiting for my instruction packet to come in the mail. I know that I will need to buy scrubs, shoes, and nursing books, but I have no idea about what vaccinations I will need. Any thoughts? What does your individual nursing program require you to do before school begins? :)

    We need to take one intro nursing course during the summer. Like you, I know that I will need a certain color/style uniform, white shoes, stethoscope, etc. I believe our orientation will happen sometime in May, so I will wait until after I attend the orientation to shell out money for any of the above (or more importantly, books!)

    I also need to get on a regular sleep schedule, since I keep odd hours and probably don't get enough sleep most of the time. :)
