Nursing school grades.

I was wondering what it takes to actually get into the nursing program? Like what would a good gpa be to get in? Is a 3.3 gpa too low? I know this sounds stupid but does being male help too? Thanks for answering.

Did you complete all your pre-reqs already? If you didn't it means you still have a chance to raise your GPA. Work hard in getting those A's especially in Micro, Anatomy, Pharm, and Physio. If you did complete all your pre-reqs see if you could re-take some of your classes if you receive a grade lower than a 'C'.

However, some people would say, a high GPA doesn't always help to get into nursing school, so try to volunteer or get a hospital job or do both :D

Nursing schools are very competitive right now since the economy is going to s*@& and the media's telling everyone there's a nursing shortage. So everyone and their mommas are applying to nursing school.

Remember when you get into nursing school, there is NO such thing as a stupid question! :lol2: But being male definitely does not help you get into nursing school. I know of quite a few of guys in my class who still haven't found a job. So its all about the brains you got.
