Hello! I have been trying for 2 years now to get into a nursing program in Pittsburgh. The demand is just unreal. I'm a little older so I have to work to pay bills and they are just making it nearly impossible for me to better myself. I have an associates, bachelors and am 2 semesters short of a masters in business. People think I'm crazy but this is what I want. Has anyone else ha to wait or quit work or suffer any difficulties like I am? I don't want to give up but the world today just doesn't give breaks to those who try hard.

Hello,
Your problem might depend on where you are applying. Typically, public universities and community colleges are the elast expensive and thus the most difficult to get in because most people apply to them. Private schools are usually easier to get in because of their cost. Waiting vs cost is something we all have to weigh-in on to make our decisions.
Whichever route you decide to go, I suggest you ensure the school is accredited by... NLNAC Accredited Nursing Programs
You can search/view all the schools accredited by state in the link I provided above.
Good luck!
