This topic is me practically. I studied computer science and just after graduated i proceeded to study my true calling. It's all about passion.
First ask yourself why you want to be in those professions? the answer lies with you my friend.

It doesn't have to be an either/or decision. You could combine your interests by:
1. Get a BS in CS. Take the nursing pre-reqs as electives for your BS degree. Get an ADN after finishing your BS in CS. Work as a nurse for several years to gain nursing experience.
Then work for an EMR company demo-ing their software to hospitals.
Or work for the hospital's IT department testing/customizing their new EMR releases and teaching hospital employees how to use the software.
Or work for an EMR company as a software developer. You would be able to bring the nursing perspective to the software being developed.
Or work for an EMR company as a trainer.
There is a need for people who understand nursing workflow who also know computer science.
2. Get your BSN and then get an MS in CS. Many schools offer a program for non-computer science undergrads to get a masters in computer science. It takes 2 to 3 times as long, but it is do-able. Use your education in some of the ways mentioned above.
3. Get your BSN and then get a masters in Infomatics.
You should consider whether you are an introvert or an extrovert. Are you energized by interacting with people or do they drain you.
If you are energized by interacting with people, then nursing might be more to your liking.
If interacting with people drains you, you might be happier in computer science.
You still have to interact with people a great deal in computer science, but your contact with people is much greater in most areas of nursing.

In my case, science and technology are the careers that I did choose and they are where my interests and my aptitude lie. The economics, though, led me into nursing and it has been a very solid choice.

Computer science, there is more opportunities plus with experience you can make 100k+ easy depending on the area and if your willing to work contracts as opposed to full time positions
Then you can work in Healthcare too

But super easy to outsource to... anywhere with a broadband connection.
And super easy to insource via the H1B.
And with nursing, "you can make 100k+ easy depending on the area and if your (sic) willing to work contracts."
