Get your prerequisite grades up as high as possible.

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to your question....it all depends on how you approach it. Just getting into NS is difficult, so if you can conquer that, then you will have a good idea of how to be successful once starting clinicals and core nsg courses.

Brush up on english/grammar, elementary algebra, and some basic biology....this could give you an advantage when starting the pre-nursing classes.

  • Study diligently
  • Do more than simply what is required; learn everything you can, as well as you can.
  • Set your personal standards higher than the expectations of your instructor
  • Read the assignments; then read them again; then read them again... always focusing on the material that you haven't mastered
  • Test yourself and don't let yourself slide on things that you don't know
  • Make sure you know your vocabulary; force yourself to be precise in your statements.
