Nurses who are chiropractors

Published

I have been trying to find out how many licenced RNs are also licenced chiropractors. So far I am the only one I know. If you are one or know how to find such statistics please post.

Thank you

I don't know any statistics, but there was a licensed D.C. in my nursing program. He started a year after me; don't know what he's up to now (he would have graduated in '05).

At any rate, you're definitely not alone!

My chiro's wife runs the cath lab locally and is also a licensed DC

I think this is an interesting question and I hope that you get a good answer.

Plus I am wondering now that I think about it---which degree 'tops' the other? Both are licenses.

But which one is the higher degree? Like, can you even be an RN and practice as a chiropractor? Hmmmm.....

Yes, you can, just like you can be an RN and a paramedic. You just have to be careful about not overstepping the boundaries of each license.
