NP's out there

I am a curious...how did you come about with your NP career?

A little tid bit about myself. I'm 24, have a BS degree, and I'm currently taking pre-req courses to become an RN and then hopefully, continue on with my education and become an NP. I would first like to get hands-on clinical experience and feel this route would be best for me.

I've heard students diving directly in MSN/FNP programs, but feel I am not quite ready for the jump.

Have you always wanted to be an NP? What experiences have you gone through or what made you decide to become an NP?

Thanks,

amy
