NP goal

I have a bavhelors in a non-nursing major, an ADN and my goal is to become an NP. For work purposes I need to get at least BSN. I've beem accepted to an online BSN program; 15 months for 9k. My other option is to do a CNL MSN; 2 years, 55k. Then I would go back and get a certificate NP which would be shorter than the traditional route.

My question is which is better- two bachelors or two masters degrees, but 44k in debt. Please tell me your thoughts.

    I vote bachelor's then master's.

    You would end up with less debt, plus you would get the experience of a full NP education designed to make you an NP rather than a CNL education with a brief NP education "tacked on" at the end. If you want to be an NP, I think the first route makes more sense.

    I see no reason to do the 2 master's.

    15mo at 9K is a great deal and I agree that doing the BSN then moving onto an FNP program seems reasonable to do versus being hugely in debt...if the 55k dept total after achieving a MSN, you are adding an additional 20-30+K in debt on top of that for FNP cert...financial it seems that a 15mo BSN at 9K plus another 30-40K for a MSN/FNP would be cheaper.
