I am currently a student at Florida A&M University. After I graduate I want to move out of state. Could anyone offer any suggestions about a nice place to practice nursing? I've thought about Texas, Arizona, and North Carolina. Also I'm planning on going back for my masters in anesthesia, so wherever I decide to move would have to have a school that offers that program. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Just wanted to let you know that UT Houston & Baylor College of Medicine both have anesthesia programs for nurses. And since both schools are in the medical center, any hospital visits are a short walk away. I currently go to UT for regular RN. It is a decent school, & they just built a beautiful, highly functional nursing school (8 stories). The only problem with Houston is it's very crowded, the traffic sucks, & it's not the prettiest city. Although the med center area is pretty nice, & there's plenty of stores, entertainment, etc. if that's you're thing. Me, I'm not so into it, so just staying here long enough to finish school.

Washington state of course! # one nursing school in the country, lots of hospitals to pick from ( I am a UW gal both in employment and as a BSN and MN graduate), absolutely spectacular city and area. Lots of traffic however, but at least when you are stuck in you have a fabulous volcano to admire

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
...Annefan, Houston is where I was thinking of going if I decided on Texas. Thanks for the insight on the city.
...Mandee, I also considered SC so thanks.
...Nesher, never considered Washington. I think it would be too cold for me though. Thanks again.
