Hi sh3ylanne,

Congratulations for completing your MSN! That's super exciting. I am curious, do you have any experience being a preceptor on your unit? I think that experience alone will help you with obtaining a role as a educator, or a role close to it.

Although I don't live in Southern California, I know a few educators that were able to land a role as an educator without even a MSN in Ontario, Canada. You just have to be in the right place at the right time or find the right hospital that is ready to invest in you. I think networking in your hospital is a good way to start. Ask the educators at your hospital how they got to be where they are today.

Do you know if the school you went to is hiring for any instructor roles, whether it's clinical instructors, teaching assistants, or lab instructors? That experience can also get your foot in the door to eventually land you a role as an educator.

Wishing you the best!
