Hello everyone! I am a "new" member but not new to the site so please bare with me for the first few post! I would like to say this site has helped me so much over the past year and a half! Thanks to all of you great people!!!
I have a question for all you it seems easy but it's difficult for me!!! I currently work in a Peds clinic and love the job and the people I work with at the same time I would love to pursue my RN and become a L&D nurse. So here is my problem I am a new grad and have everything but my upper levels of RN courses and can begin school in August for my RN, but I have to work in LTC or on a MED Surg floor for 1100 before I can start school. I know I should be working MED Surg my first year, but I am new to the state I live in and the lpn hospital jobs are mostly prn! I would graduate just in time before our next move. So any suggestions would be appreciated!!! Thanks in advance for any replies!

I would just go ahead and do the LTC, if this is what gets you in nursing school. Many of the other students are not going to have hospital experience either, so I would try to relax about it. When you graduate with your RN, be sure to get into a new grad RN orientation program and you should be fine.
Good luck!
