new in usa

hello,

I had done my masters in community health nursing from india in 2013. But now i'm new in USA and i don't know the further prospectus of my studies here. can anybody guide me here What can i do next and what kind of job i do find?

Can i join in hospital for bed side experience?

Please give me the complete details , so i save my future and can do start the things now.

hi. migration is such a transition even career wise. from your post I get it that you are a nurse. and the fact that you have a masters, I assume you have a BSN... here are my assumptions

1. you may have to evaluate your BSN/CHN or both in the system here and see if its an equivalent of the ones in USA OR if they need you to do some more papers to certify you

2. Also have you thought of being Registered as a Nurse in the USA? I think to practice as a nurse or to be registered with practicing CHN, you may have to first find out if nursing graduates from your country are allowed to simply do an exam and be licensed as an RN. I know a friend of mine from the Philippines who had a BSN and was allowed to do an exam here in the USA so as to be licensed as an RN here. she did the exam and passed though on the 3rd trial. also note that some states are harder than others in giving you the opportunity to do the exam so you may have to do big time research.

Explore all options from licensing bodies and universities too....All the best
