new any tips?

Hi. I am a new pre nursing student. I am 30 years old. and this is my 2nd semester. Im a little nervous to be entering the game a little older than some of my peer students. I have 3 boys and juggling it all so far has been tough. Definitely trying to get organized! Hoping to apply to the nursing program this April to start next fall.

I'm taking A&P 1 along with a few other Prerequisites Any tips on what to expect throughout this course? I have always wanted to be in the NICU or labor and delivery what is exactly is the steps I need to take to get there?

Thanks!

The sciences can be challenging. Work hard to get a good grade in them because a lot of schools scale them for more points than other classes. I found that flashcards helped me a lot in anatomy. I liked to put the picture on one side and the word on the other for the anatomical structures. I used Quizlet for this. I didn't find the coloring books to be very helpful. It was too time consuming and I didn't feel like I was learning it fast enough. But, I like to color in them now that I have finished the course. The Allnurses website has lots of advice and you can look through old posts or search for something specific.
