New Grad

Greetings,

I am a newly licensed Nurse. I received my license in Minnesota about one week ago and have currently started the process of transferring my licence to California (where I will be moving too). The process to transferring my license seems like it will take round three months to complete.

Any advice for me as what to do while I WAIT?

- stay in Minnesota until my license transfers?

- look for nursing job here in the mine time?

- look for nurse aid job in California, while waiting for the license to transfer?

Thanks.

You could start applying to jobs/residencies in California where you're eligible (some specify CA RN license at time of start date, for example). Better to use your time for the long term goal.

At the least, you'll gain job-seeking and hopefully interview skills. Best wishes.
